In the Name of God I James GANDER of Nurshalling (ie Nursling) in the County of South(amp)ton being in sound and perfect memory the Lord be praised doe while I have time make and ordaine this my last Will and testament. All former wils revoked in manner and form ffollowing That is to say first I bequeath my soul into the hands of allmighty god my maker hoping th(r)ough the death and Passion and [ ........... ] and mediation of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to obtain pardon of all my sinns and eternal life and my body I bequeath to the ground from whence it was taken, And for such earthly goods as it hath pleased the Lord to bestow on me through money herein this life I give and bequeath as ffolloweth.

I give and bequeath unto my daughter Katherin the now wife of William COMPTON twenty shillings. I give unto my daughter Elizabeth GANDER (?with the) money her grandmother (?KEEPING) gave her thirty pounds to be paid by my said Executrix within two years after my decease. I give unto my daughter Mary GANDER tenn pounds. I give unto my daughter Anna GANDER my land at Dursley after my decease and my (?wives) widdowhood and for all the rest of my estate whatsoever with the Lease of the house I live in and all that is belonging thereunto I give and bequeath unto Mary my Deare and Loving wife who I do hereby make and ordaine full and Sole Executrix of this my will and testament, And I Nominate and appoint my loving friends Mr.William BOLAR and Mr.Moses GOODRIDGE both of Southampton to be overseers of this my will that this is my will and Testament here unto I set my hand and seal thus
